![]() OK, so this picture is no where near as interesting to look at as my last picture of downtown, but the interesting part of this view is the story. If you are downtown on Main Street getting a burger, like I was again(yum), and you walk around to the back of our cute, picturesque downtown you will find our old downtown. This. The road in front of me in the photo used to be Main Street and on one side is 'downtown' and on the other side is the railroad tracks(and if you look way down the road you'll see our old cotton gin). When the highway came through(and has since moved) downtown did an about face. The backs of the buildings all became the fronts, the old Catholic church was rotated, and the original storefronts became the rear of the buildings.
