If it is cool enough to stop three of the four peanuts in their tracks, but so creepy that they have to convince Sawyer to poke it with a stick while they stay a safe distance away, odds are you really do not want to know what it was.

LOL! It was just a little lizard. (Eww)

It's rear end and tail were hanging out from under some leaves so they were seeing if it was alive.
